LiNCHigher at the FAB! Awards 2025

The FAB! Awards took place on Saturday 7th June at the University of Lincoln. The event celebrates children in care and care leavers from across Lincolnshire, recognising their achievements, creativity and all the amazing things they’ve done. Friends, families, carers and staff all came along to enjoy a morning of games and educated learning followed by the awards themselves.

This year’s theme was Around the World, the Isaac Newton building was taken over by music and activities inspired by different countries and cultures. LiNCHigher had a great time running a LEGO activity where young people adapted the legs of the Hopper to navigate across different terrains— lakes, a road, forest and mountains. With four tricky terrains to try out, it was more challenging than it looked and really got everyone thinking and working together.

The atmosphere was full of excitement and pride as each young person was celebrated for being fantastic, amazing and brilliant. It was a day full of smiles, creativity and confidence-building, and we were so proud to be a part of it.
